KangarooKiddo is built for kids ages 5 to 12, covering grades K through 6 in math and reading. The experience adapts by age: younger kids get an audio-first, tap-and-talk session with a friendly guide, while older kids get a cleaner, more grown-up app. Each child works at their actual level, not just their grade on paper.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are short, just a handful of questions, usually a few minutes. The session ends on its own and nudges your child to come back tomorrow. The goal is a daily habit your kid keeps, not a marathon they dread.

What does it teach?

Grade-level math and reading for kindergarten through 6th grade, aligned to Common Core standards, with real skill prerequisites so your kid builds on what they already know. Math runs from counting and number sense through fractions, decimals, ratios, and pre-algebra; reading covers phonics and sight words through inference, theme, and informational text.

Your child earns points into a pouch and trades them for real-world rewards you configure, like extra story time, screen time, or an outing. You approve every redemption, points never expire, and they cannot be clawed back. There is no pay-to-win upsell aimed at your kid.

KangarooKiddo is free while we are in private beta. At launch we plan a simple, flat per-family plan (so multiple kids are covered) with a free tier that includes a limited number of sessions a week. No per-child pricing games and no upsells aimed at your child.

What devices does it work on?

It runs in any modern web browser on a phone, tablet, or computer, so there is nothing to install. A tablet is the sweet spot for younger kids, especially for the audio-first, tap-and-talk experience, but a phone or laptop works fine too.

Can I add more than one child?

Yes. You add a separate profile for each child under your one parent account, and each kid gets their own age-appropriate experience, their own progress, and their own reward pouch. Switching between kids is quick.

How do I see my child's progress?

Your parent dashboard shows what each child worked on, time spent, and skill mastery in plain words like learning, practicing, and mastered, mapped to real Common Core standards rather than a vanity score. You also get a short weekly summary so you know where your kid is strong and where they need help.

Is it aligned to my state's standards?

KangarooKiddo is aligned to the Common Core State Standards. Most states use Common Core (some under their own name), and even the states with their own standards teach very similar grade-level skills, so the practice maps well almost everywhere. Does it replace school or a curriculum?

No. KangarooKiddo is focused daily practice that supplements what your child learns at school or in your homeschool. It keeps skills sharp and fills gaps a little every day; it is not meant to be the whole curriculum.

It is screen time designed to end, not to maximize. Sessions are short and end on their own, with no ads and no endless feed. You are turning screen time they already want into honest, grade-level practice you can see the results of.

How do we get started?

Create a free parent account, add a profile for your child with their age and a few interests, and they can jump into their first session right away. The app does a short assessment to find their level, then meets them there. It takes a couple of minutes to set up.

My child can't read yet. Can they still use it?

Yes. For the youngest kids, the session is audio-first: questions, instructions, and feedback are read aloud, a friendly guide leads the way, and your child can answer by tapping pictures or speaking out loud. No reading or typing is required to play.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. When paid plans launch there will be no contract or lock-in; you can cancel anytime. You can also export all of your family's data or delete your account whenever you choose.

Do you need my child's personal information?

We deliberately collect as little as possible about your child: a first name or nickname, age, and grade is enough. We do not ask for last names, kids' email addresses, phone numbers, or photos. The account and contact details belong to you, the parent, which keeps us aligned with COPPA from day one.
