Scaffolding

Temporary support that's removed as a child can do more on their own.

Scaffolding is the temporary help, a hint, a worked example, a simpler version, that lets a child succeed at something just beyond their current reach, then is gradually removed. It is how learning stretches without becoming frustrating.

Practice it, a little every day

KangarooKiddo turns terms like this into short, daily, grade-aligned practice your kid will actually come back to.
