Skip counting
Counting by a number other than one, 2, 4, 6, 8 …
Skip counting is counting in steps, by 2s, 5s, or 10s, and it is an early bridge to multiplication. A child who can skip-count by 5s is already most of the way to knowing their 5 times table.
